So, 42 days is on the cards...

June 12th, 2008 by Paul

We slip further into the abyss. 42 days is long enough to lose your job, possibly your house. 42 days is a prison term, make no mistake. I was gonna comment on the BBC news site, but my comments never get published. Whilst there are some decent comments on there, most of them depress me. I'm sure they're chosen because they tow the line, but idiotic comments like "it should be indefinite" followed by "terrorists are threatening our way of life" etc. are mind boggling to me. They're the ones threatening our way of life.

Is that really representative of British public opinion? Are we really passing one brain cell around amongst millions of people? On the other hand, we all know that a lot of time and money is spent on countering bloggers by the intelligence services. I'm convinced that while most people are deceived about a lot of things and perhaps don't see the wider picture, they've surely got to know this terrorist threat is bogus. And that's not to say threats don't exist. There are a few real terrorists around the world, of that I have no doubt, but the ones who actually manage to get anywhere near threatening us are nearly always funded, created and handled by domestic governments.

The increased laws so far have been used on the public in nearly every case, the opposite of what the proponents of them said would never happen. Will we be fooled again?

One of the leaked tidbits from the latest Bilderberg meeting in Chantilly was that they wanted to shift the focus on to domestic terrorism or what they call white al-Qaeda. They've been putting laws into place for some time now. Things are shifting up a gear and I'm sure they intend to use the strong arm of the law we're paying for to quell the ever-increasing civil unrest, not least because prices, unemployment and bankruptcies are on the increase. Keep an eye out for the red herring that is increased threats from our own citizens. I have a feeling in the next 18 months, we're gonna be ordered to be terrified of even our neighbours and, even though birds are singing outside and kids are playing, we'll have to keep ourselves locked away and tattle on anything that seems it could somehow be connected to terrorism. That'll be the end of fertiliser sales I guess.

If you don't think this is possible look at the CCTV they ran in Brighton on that pilot scheme. They originally envisaged paying people to monitor local camera footage hooked up to their TVs. Instead, they managed to get people to pay £5 a month to watch it.
